Jugend Dirigiert: 10 Years of Passion, Courage, and Love for Music For a decade, Jugend Dirigiert has empowered children and teenagers to step onto the conductor’s podium and bring their musical visions to life with the renowned HSO Berlin. These are magical moments, because:

- Music boosts cooperation and creativity
In 2024, under the patronage of Dieter Hallervorden, the “Herztöne “(Heart tones) initiative was launched, extending this transformative experience to children with special needs.
We need your support for Herztöne!
Your donation enables free musical education for children with disabilities, chronic illnesses, or those who have undergone traumatic experiences:
- Children are gently introduced to conducting based on their prior experience and interests.
- Professional musicians provide personalized
- A proven pedagogical approach focuses on building each child’s unique abilities and strengths.
- “Goosebump moments” – children experience the sound of a full symphony orchestra up close.
- Renowned conductors coach the children for their stage
- “Stage ready!” – children gain confidence and courage to perform before an
- “Applause!” – young conductors stand in the spotlight and discover how enriching this can be.
We see Herztöne as a contribution to inclusion, promoting a culture of respect and appreciation through visibility and normalization.
In 2025, Herztöne invites young conductors to perform alongside the HSO Berlin at the charity gala “Ein für Kinder” (A heart for children).
